WHAT ARE BAR SCREENS?
 

The bar screens made for wastewater treatment plants have evolved into few different forms over the years. But what unites them all is their durability. Today's modern bar screens are made mostly of stainless steel. And their durable construction is essential to the wastewater treatment operations that depend the removal of large screenings function efficiently. By removing solids, bar screens help downstream processes work efficiently. And they prevent costly maintenance repairs that might otherwise disrupt the facility.

HOW THE BAR SCREENS WORK?

Bar screens typically work on a conveyor system. This allows the screen to pick up solids while allowing water to pass through. As solids accumulate on the screen, a rake or many rakes will wipe them off. Multiple rakes can be necessary to keep screenings from accumulating and preventing the flow of influent.
